GETTING READY TO VISIT TORRANCELEARNING

Here are some frequently asked questions and a few resources to help you prepare for your visit. If you have any additional questions, comments, or concerns, please feel free to call or email us. We’re looking forward to seeing you soon!

HOW DO I GET THERE?

The city of Chelsea is located 15 miles west of Ann Arbor, Michigan. Our address is:

311 Weiser Way
Chelsea, MI 48118
Located in the Clocktower.

If you have not been to the Clocktower before, please note that GPS and mapping software may get you to the general vicinity, but not all the way to our door since the streets and numbering are all funky back behind the Clocktower in Chelsea.

Using 312 N. Main St. Chelsea, MI in your GPS will get you to the OTHER side of our building, which is pretty close.

Easiest directions to the office:  Take I-94 to Chelsea, exit 159.  Head north on M-52 (into town) for just over 1.5 miles. Once you leave the highway intersection, you’ll pass 3 lights as you come through town, then you’ll cross the railroad tracks. … and take an immediate RIGHT right in front of the Clocktower itself.  (It comes up really fast after the tracks, and it’s right in close to the building.)  You’ll snake through 2 brick buildings – it’s sort of an alley — and emerge into a set of interconnected parking lots.  Park and keep track of where the Gazebo is because you’ll come back to it.

ALTERNATE TURN if you miss the one to the alley: Keep going north on Main St until you can take a RIGHT turn into a parking lot at the end of the row of interconnected brick buildings.  Drive to the end of that lot and take a RIGHT.  Head up the hill and you’ll see the Gazebo.

Our office door is the closest door to the Gazebo. Look for the door that says TorranceLearning.

If you get lost, call our main number 734-433-0513. (You will not be the first to get lost back here!)

WHERE SHOULD I PARK?

The most convenient parking is available directly behind the Chelsea Clocktower, off Main Street, near the Gazebo and along the railroad tracks. Some spaces are named and reserved for other businesses (such as Brahma Haus, The Welfare Building, McDermott Law Offices, etc.), so please be mindful of the signs – these spaces are marked differently than the visitor parking spots.

We have no lack of conflicting and confusing parking signage around our office. Scroll through the guide:

WHAT AIRPORT SHOULD I FLY INTO?

Fly in to Detroit Metro Airport (DTW) and plan to rent a car. It is approximately 40 miles from DTW to Chelsea. If you do not drive, please let us know and we can help you with options and rides. There is no Uber or taxi service or public transportation in our town. Car rental companies are all offsite at the airport so plan for a shuttle ride both to and from the airport.
