How do I get there?
The city of Chelsea is located 15 miles west of Ann Arbor, Michigan. Our address is:

Located in the Clocktower.
If you have not been to the Clocktower before, please note that GPS and mapping software may get you to the general vicinity, but not all the way to our door since the streets and numbering are all funky back behind the Clocktower in Chelsea.
Using 312 N. Main St. Chelsea, MI in your GPS will get you to the OTHER side of our building, which is pretty close.

Face masks are required and physical distancing is recommended whenever possible.
Where should I park?
The most convenient parking is available directly behind the Chelsea Clocktower, off Main Street, near the Gazebo and along the railroad tracks. Some spaces are named and reserved for other businesses (such as Brahma Haus, The Welfare Building, McDermott Law Offices, etc.), so please be mindful of the signs – these spaces are marked differently than the visitor parking spots.
We have no lack of conflicting and confusing parking signage around our office. Please be mindful of posted signs.
What airport should I fly into?
Fly in to Detroit Metro Airport (DTW) and plan to rent a car. It is approximately 40 miles from DTW to Chelsea. If you do not drive, please let us know and we can help you with options and rides. There is no Uber or taxi service or public transportation in our town. Car rental companies are all offsite at the airport so plan for a shuttle ride both to and from the airport.
I’m attending a multiple day event, where should I stay for the night?
If you’d like to stay in Chelsea…

- Chelsea House Victorian Inn is an 1880’s Queen Anne Victorian Bed & Breakfast located right in town here in Chelsea. If you’d like to stay closer to Ann Arbor (which is a bigger city between Chelsea and the airport)…
- Holiday Inn Express & Suites Ann Arbor West is also conveniently located just off I-94, a little closer to the DTW airport, and a short distance from Chelsea, Dexter, and Kerrytown in downtown Ann Arbor.

- Weber’s Boutique Hotel & Restaurant is an upscale, privately owned hotel located right off I-94.

There are also a variety of hotels near the Briarwood Mall, which gives you access to several restaurants and shopping during your stay. The mall is about a 20 – 25 minute drive from TorranceLearning.
- The Graduate is located in the heart of downtown Ann Arbor, surrounded by some of the city’s best restaurants, shops, art fairs, and, of course, game-day buzz.

What’s there to do around town?
Some of the top attractions in Chelsea include the Purple Rose Theatre, “JIFFY” Mix Factory, Waterloo Recreation Area, Ugly Dog Distillery, Pierce Lake Golf Course, and Chelsea Lanes Bowling Alley.
You can find some great places to eat right in town like Smokehouse 52, Brahma Haus, Chelsea Alehouse Brewery, Cleary’s Pub, Zou Zou’s Café, Common Grille, Mike’s Deli, and more.
If you’d like to get some fresh air, guided nature walks are available at Eddy Discovery Center, located in The Waterloo Recreation Area (the largest state park in the lower peninsula of Michigan). Seasonal tours include maple syrup tours in the early spring and Sandhill crane migration tours in the fall.
There are also Historic walking tours available of downtown Chelsea (on your own or guided by Chelsea Historical Society) and local maps can be found at the information kiosks throughout downtown Chelsea. You can also view and download a PDF of the map here.
We’re a short drive from Ann Arbor and Dexter if you’d like to venture out to explore a bigger city or a smaller village.
