Without the draw of a real human connection, we have to work extra hard to make elearning content engaging for the learner. We happen to think that aesthetics is a huge part of that, along with, of course, strong instructional design and a performance-related motivation for the learner to actually complete the course. When everything you do sends a message – good or bad – you can’t ignore the beauty of the experience. With really effective elearning, the appeal of the form increases the function.
