American Spinal Injury Association, TorranceLearning release pediatric online course
WeeSTeP, the Pediatric Considerations for the Neurological Assessment of Spinal Cord Injury, is a complement to InSTeP, ASIA’s online training for the International Standards for the Classification of Spinal Cord Injury.
This pediatric module is a video-based course that looks at unique characteristics of pediatric spinal cord injuries. The course models appropriate exam techniques and methods for talking with young patients and their caregivers. WeeSTeP was created through volunteer efforts by ASIA members and made possible through a generous grant by The Shriners Hospitals for Children. Both InSTeP and WeeSteP are available through the ASIA Learning Center. WeeSTeP is available at no cost, serving as a standalone course for individuals who already perform the International Standards Exam, or bundled as a free addition to the InSTeP course.
